Welcome, Business Owner

As the owner, you have full access to all features and settings in RoostSync. This guide covers everything you need to manage your hospitality business effectively.

Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard provides a real-time snapshot of your business:

Team Management

Manage your staff and their access levels from Settings > Team Members.

User Roles

Role Access Level Best For
Owner Full access including billing and team deletion Business owners
Admin All operations, user management (no billing) General managers
Manager Bookings, POS, inventory, reports Shift managers, supervisors
Staff POS orders, view bookings, check-in guests Front desk, servers
Kitchen Kitchen display only Cooks, kitchen staff
Viewer Read-only access to reports and bookings Accountants, investors

Inviting Team Members

  1. Go to Settings > Team Members
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select the appropriate role
  5. They'll receive an email invitation to join
Security Tip

Give each team member only the access they need. A cashier doesn't need Admin access - Staff role is sufficient for taking orders.

Billing & Subscription

Manage your subscription from Settings > Billing.

Current Plans

All plans include all features. The difference is in volume limits.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click "Upgrade Plan"
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Complete payment via Stripe
  5. New limits take effect immediately

Property Management

Add and configure your properties (rooms, cottages, campsites, etc.).

Adding a Property

  1. Go to Bookings > Properties
  2. Click "Add Property"
  3. Enter name, type, capacity, and base rate
  4. Add photos (optional)
  5. Set availability rules if needed

Property Settings

Gmail Sync (OTA Integration)

Automatically import bookings from Airbnb, Agoda, and Booking.com.

Connecting Gmail

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click "Connect Gmail"
  3. Sign in with the Gmail account that receives booking confirmations
  4. Grant read access to emails

Once connected, the system scans for booking emails every 15 minutes and creates bookings automatically.

AI Assistant

Use the AI Assistant to ask questions like "What was my revenue last month?" or "Which property is most profitable?" It analyzes your data and provides instant answers.

Security Best Practices

Important

Only owners can access billing, delete the team, or transfer ownership. Keep these credentials secure.
