Admin Guide

Overview

The Admin role has full access to all RoostSync features. This guide covers daily operations, system configuration, and user management for property administrators.

User Management

Adding Users

Create New User

  1. Go to Settings > Users
  2. Click "Add User"
  3. Enter email address
  4. Set display name
  5. Select role
  6. Send invitation

User Roles

Role Access Level
Admin Full access to all features, settings, and reports
Manager Operations access, can view reports, approve discounts
Front Desk Bookings, check-in/out, basic POS operations
Kitchen Kitchen Display only
Housekeeping Room status updates only

Limit Admin access to owners and trusted managers only. Most staff should use Front Desk or role-specific access.

Room Configuration

  1. Go to Settings > Rooms
  2. Add room types (Deluxe, Standard, Suite, etc.)
  3. Add individual rooms with numbers
  4. Set base rates for each type
  5. Configure amenities per room

Morning Checklist

  1. Review overnight bookings from OTAs
  2. Check today's arrivals and prepare rooms
  3. Verify housekeeping completed turnover rooms
  4. Review low stock alerts
  5. Check cash drawer opening balance

Evening Checklist

  1. Verify all check-outs processed
  2. Reconcile cash drawer
  3. Review daily sales summary
  4. Check next day arrivals
  5. Address any pending issues

Troubleshooting

Issue Solution
User cannot login Check if invitation was accepted. Resend invitation if needed.
Missing permissions Review user's role and individual permission settings.
Settings not saving Ensure you have Admin role. Check internet connection.
Reports showing wrong data Verify date range and filters. Clear browser cache if persistent.
